Gratitude- Without the Myths.

Thanksgiving is traditionally celebrated as a day of gratitude and gathering, but it’s important to reflect on the broader context of this holiday. At Cozykins, we take this opportunity to honor the resilience and stories of Indigenous communities—especially the tribes who have shaped Wyoming’s history, like the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho. These communities have faced immense challenges yet continue to preserve their cultures, histories, and traditions with strength and pride.

Rather than focusing on the myths often associated with the first Thanksgiving, we encourage reflection on truth, connection, and the importance of giving back. Wyoming is a place deeply connected to its land and its people, and by honoring the tribes whose ancestral homes are here, we acknowledge the stories that have long been part of this region.

A Cozykins Take on Gratitude
Gratitude can take many forms. Cozykins believes in the power of small, meaningful gestures to show care and connection. Our plushies are designed with love and intention, making them a perfect symbol of gratitude, and warm memories. Whether it’s a gift for a friend, a way to comfort someone going through a tough time, or even a little reminder to be kind to yourself— a plushie embodies the simple joys that make life sweeter.

This season, we’re grateful for YOU—our Cozykins family! Your support, kindness, and enthusiasm fuel everything we do! As we continue building our dream of plushies that inspire comfort and community, we’re constantly reminded of how special it is to have such a compassionate group of people on this journey with us. Thank you, so very much!

Gratitude in Action
This Thanksgiving season, let’s extend kindness to those who need it most. Consider donating to organizations that support Indigenous communities in Wyoming, such as the Northern Arapaho Tribal Industries or the Eastern Shoshone Business Council. Supporting local efforts not only uplifts these communities but also reinforces the importance of truth and gratitude in our actions.

Let us know what you’re thankful for this season! Join the conversation and share your thoughts with us on Bluesky or Mastodon. Together, we can make this season about connection, care, and honoring what truly matters. 🍁🧡
